The Mixfill is a filling system for gas mixtures developed by PLC & Process. It is compatible with O2, N2, Ar, He, CO2, and H2. It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the industrial, food, and medical sectors.

Capacities & Methods

  • Inputs & Outputs: Supports up to 6 gas inlets and up to 6 filling outlets.
  • Filling Methods: Three methods available: pressure/temperature, weighing, or mass flowmeter.
  • Advanced (Mass Flowmeter): Capable of Top-Filling on mixtures, creating new mixtures by adding components, and automatic cylinder purge management at the exact pressure for Top-Filling.

Safety & Control

  • Ancillary Systems: Connectable to purge, vacuum, and multi-PSV systems.
  • Multi-PSV System: Enables safe filling at lower target pressures by opening an automatic valve to a suitable relief valve.
  • Standard Sensors: General line (4/20mA) and Vacuum line (absolute 4/20mA for static vacuum control).
  • Valves: Ability to integrate low or high-flow control valves on each gas inlet, purge, or main line.

Recipes & Interface

  • Recipe Manager: Create and save custom recipes. Up to 5 folders with 52 recipes each. >20 distinct steps per recipe.
  • Engineering Tools: Native recipe generation software and built-in thermodynamic calculation module.
  • P&ID Customization: Displayed P&ID is fully customizable based on the chosen architecture (single valve, block & bleed, etc.).

Electrical & Hardware

Power supply: 230/400 VAC.
Cabinet front: Main disconnect, emergency stop, reset button (SIL), and 15" touch screen.
Vacuum pump interface: Standard 3kW (special interface upon request).
Safety: SIL-3/4 board.
Dimensions (H x W x D): 600 mm x 600 mm x 250 mm.
Mounting: 4x wall brackets.
Display Units: Configurable in Bar/PSI, °C/°F, and Liters/Gallons.
Remote assistance: Secure access for maintenance (if 4G VPN modem option is present on site).
Operating temperature: Standard 0°C to +50°C (other upon request).

I/O Boards Details

Input boards: for element feedback (valves, filling rack, etc.).
Analog input boards: for 4/20mA sensors.
RTD input boards: for temperature probes.
Output boards: for valve control (24VDC Max 8W).
Analog output boards: if control valves are present.

Multi PSV
Multiple safety valve system allowing safe filling at various pressures.
Mass Flowmeter
Precision measurement, allowing "Top-Filling" without prior purging.
Block & Bleed
Double block valve with intermediate bleed, ensuring total gas isolation.
Low/High Flow Valve
Flow regulation for rapid filling followed by an adjustment, avoiding adiabatic variations.
Filling Outlet
Connectable to manifolds, bundles, or multiple containers on the same line.
Vent Circuit
Secure evacuation line to depressurize and purge piping between two recipes.
Vacuum Circuit
Line connected to the pump to ensure a perfect vacuum before filling.
