The Monofill is a single-gas filling system developed by PLC & Process, compatible with O2, N2, Ar, and He. It is specifically designed for industrial, food, and medical filling applications. Thanks to its wide range of standard built-in parameters, it is the perfect tool for new installations, as well as for retrofit projects and continuous improvement.

Capacities & Continuity

  • Inputs and Outputs: Supports up to 2 gas inputs and up to 6 filling outputs.
  • Production tracking: The use of two gas inputs allows for targeted filling tracking for component 1 or 2.
  • Continuity and Redundancy: Connects two pumps to guarantee continuous operation even if pump 1 is interrupted.
  • Capacity increase: System 2 automatically adapts to use pump 2 if system 1 is occupied.

Safety and Control

  • Ancillary systems: Connectable to purge systems, vacuum systems, and multi-PSV systems.
  • Multi-PSV System: Enables safe filling at lower pressures by automatically switching to a suitable safety relief valve.
  • Pressure sensors: General line 4/20mA sensor and Vacuum line 4/20mA absolute sensor.
  • Valves: Ability to integrate a low/high flow valve on the main line, and regulation valves on gas inlets and the purge.

Methods & Cycles

  • Methods: Pressure/temperature or Weighing.
  • Default Cycles: Topfill, Purge & filling, 1 vacuum, 2 vacuums, 1 vacuum & rinsing, or Purge only.
  • Custom: Any other specific cycle is available upon request.

Electrical & Hardware Characteristics

Power supply: 230/400 VAC.
Cabinet front: Main disconnect, emergency stop, reset button (SIL), and 10" touch screen with RFID.
Vacuum pump interface: Standard 3kW (special interface upon request).
Safety: SIL-3/4 board.
Dimensions (H x W x D): 400 mm x 600 mm x 250 mm.
Mounting: 4x wall brackets.
Display Units: Configurable in Bar/PSI, °C/°F, and Liters/Gallons.
Remote assistance: Secure access for maintenance (if 4G VPN modem option is present on site).
Operating temperature: Standard 0°C to +50°C (other upon request).

I/O Boards Details

Input boards: for element feedback (valves, filling rack, etc.).
Analog input boards: for 4/20mA sensors.
RTD input boards: for temperature probes.
Output boards: for valve control (24VDC Max 8W).
Analog output boards: for regulation valve control.

Options

Gas inlet
Connection to the gas source.
Multi PSV
Multiple safety valve system allowing safe filling at various pressures.
Low/High flow valve
Flow regulation for rapid filling followed by an adjustment, avoiding adiabatic variations.
Filling outlet
Connectable to manifolds, bundles, or multiple containers on the same line.
Vacuum circuit
Line connected to the pump to ensure a perfect vacuum before filling.
Vent circuit
Secure evacuation line to depressurize and purge piping between two cycles.
