Stopfill Cryo

Temperature-based Cryogenic Filling Unit

Stopfill Cryo

The Stopfill Cryo is a system developed by PLC & Process, specifically designed for the packaging of cryogenic liquids. It is intended for the automated filling of dewars (also called cryogenic receptacles, cryogenic cylinders, or cryostats). It is compatible with the requirements of the industrial, food, and medical sectors.

* Note: If you wish to perform dewar filling by weighing rather than by temperature, please consult the page for our Tankfill system.

Capacities

  • Filling stations: The system can manage up to 4 filling stations simultaneously.
  • Container types: Dewars, cryogenic receptacles, cryogenic cylinders, or cryostats.

Operating Principle

  • Cold End Temperature: The filling process is based on the detection of cold temperature at the outlet.
  • Automated detection: The system accurately determines when the container is completely full based on temperature changes.

Cycle Sequence

  • Step 1: Simultaneous opening of the cryogenic liquid valve and the station's purge valve.
  • Step 2: The liquid flows to fill the dewar; excess gas/liquid is evacuated through the purge line.
  • Step 3: Once the probe detects cryogenic temperature, both valves are immediately closed.
